Transport of Heap Formed by Granular Materials on the Inclined Plane

We studied experimentally the transport of the heap formed by granular material under vertical vibration on an inclined surface. A relationship is presented of how the transport velocity of the heap changing with driving acceleration and frequency. The shape of the heap bottom is measured by detecting the colliding phase of the heap bottom with plane. Analogous experiment was performed with a block of metal. Similar phenomena was observed. A model of rotation-climbing is presented to show the transport mechanism for heap.
