Exact solutions of some nonlinear modulation equations (Nonlinear Schrodinger equation, Coupled Schrodinger equations, Ginzburg-Landau equation) are obtained in an explicit form. They may account for the wave profiles different from usual travelling solitary waves or cnoidal waves. The modulation equations govern finite-amplitude acoustic waves evolution in various wave-guides, in particular, in layered media. The profiles of their exact solutions are very similar to that observed recently in experiments [1,2]. Also the pulse solution of the Ginzburg-Landau equation may exhibit breather-like behavior.   This research has been supported by the INTAS under Grant 99-0167  References. 1. V.I. Nayanov.
