The results of experimental investigations of nonlinear damping weak ultrasound pulse under the action of the power low-frequency wave in the polycrystalline zinc nonannealed and annealed resonating rods are presented.  The measurements were carried out using the first four longitudinal rod modes, the frequency of pulses was changed from 40 kHz to 1 MHz.  It is proposed to modify the dislocation Granato-Lucke theory that explains the observed experimental amplitude and frequency dependencies of coefficient of nonlinear damping of the ultrasound pulse.  The study was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (project No 01-05-64417).
