The high intensity ultrasound waves are using hopefully today : non-invasive surgery and therapy for kidney stones destruction (lithotrypsy), tumor overheating(hyperthermy), acoustical; stop of bleeding (hemostasys), cardioablation and other new medical technologies. The talk deals with theoretical and experimental results connected with the destruction of fat cells inside the human body by high intensity focused ultrasound. It must be emphasized, that fat deposits are concentrated usually far from organs and system which are vital to the body. The transient cavitation threshold (ultrasound pressure level) into liquid human fat was calculated by the Apfel's equation [1]. It was found approximately the level of the sound intensity which can caused the cell destruction . The cell destruction courses in case if ultrasound it focused and intensity is not less than 100 W/cm^2. Our experiments "in vitro" showed : at the low frequency range [2] it was found that th! e destruction of the fat cells and the release of liquid fat from the ruined cells with the velocity about 5 ml/min. Based on energy, which necessary for 1 ml fat cells destruction ( about 77 Joules), was calculated intensity about 500 W/cm^2 (frequency 2.7MHz, area of focal spot about 0.015 cm^2.) Hypotheses regard to mechanism of the fat cells destruction by ultrasound based on cavitation phenomenon is proposed [3].  References 1. Young R., Cavitation.
